Home care that stays with the same person
Silverstar PA Care is home care in East Cheshire. A dedicated personal assistant visits you in your own house. This is not a care home, and it is not clinical treatment.
This is home care, but it is not the usual half hour call. The shortest visit is two hours. You keep the same PA, or a very small team who already know you. When you go out, there is no uniform.
We cover Macclesfield, Prestbury, Alderley Edge, Bollington, Poynton, Wilmslow and Knutsford.
The first visit is at home, and it is free. We look at the house, the week, and what would actually help. You are matched with a personal assistant after that visit. If the match is not right, we find a better fit at no additional cost. The plan and the price come after that.
Silverstar PA Care Ltd
Home care and personal assistants
Jacqueline Silvester
Macclesfield, Prestbury, Alderley Edge, Bollington, Poynton, Wilmslow and Knutsford
Two hour minimum, named PA, no uniform
Not a large rota agency
This is a personal assistant service, not a nurse-led clinic. Silverstar PA Care is not CQC registered. That is the honest limit: we do not claim clinical regulation we do not hold. Every PA is DBS checked and holds the Care Certificate. There are no hourly rates on this site. Price follows the free home visit.

How this is different
Large agencies work in slots. Morning. Lunch. Tea. Bed. A different face can arrive each week. Travel time is squeezed. The carer is already thinking about the next door.
Silverstar works the other way.
- Two hours minimum. Time to do the job and still be a person in the room.
- A named PA. If the hours are high, a small team of people who all know the client. One household we support needs 49 hours a week. Three people cover it. Not a rotating list.
- No uniform out of the house. Clients should look like they are with a friend or a daughter.
- The PA thinks past the task list. Diary. Friends. Clubs. A walk. A lunch. A hospital afternoon.
What a visit can include
Personal care sits inside the wider job. The PA side is the personal side.
- Personal care: getting up, dressing, grooming, and moving around the house safely
- Light housekeeping, laundry, and the ordinary jobs that keep a house running
- Meals you have agreed, and the shopping that goes with them
- Help taking medicine a doctor has already prescribed. We do not supply the medicine or decide the dose. A prescription can be collected when that is agreed. Sitting in at the doctor or hospital so the family has another pair of ears
- Companionship. Coffee mornings. Old friends. The groups someone helped to build. When someone is living with dementia or Parkinson's, the work is company, prompting, and home help, not clinical treatment
- Managing the diary. Booking and chasing appointments
- Days out, and holidays when the planning has to include a wheelchair
- Calling the electrician, the gardener, or the window cleaner. We do not clean gutters. We find the right person
We do not supply medicine. We can help a person take medicine a doctor has already prescribed. We do not decide the dose and we do not provide clinical treatment. Jacqueline is not a nurse. The value is time, judgement, and knowing the person.
The named services on this site are these.
- Companionship : company at home, conversation, and a real presence in the room
- Home Help : personal care, laundry, and the ordinary jobs that keep a house running
- Errands & Shopping : shopping, prescriptions, and the small trips that keep life moving
- Appointments : diary, booking, and someone with you at the doctor or hospital
- Social Outings : days out, walks, and getting into town without a uniform
- Meal Preparation : meals you will actually eat, planned around your taste
Who this is for
People who want to stay at home and still have a life.
Families who live further away and need someone they trust on the ground.
Someone living with a disability, Parkinson's, dementia, or a long-term illness, where the same people have to notice a good day and a bad day. The work is company, prompting, and home help, not clinical treatment.
Most clients pay privately. If the NHS or the council only pays part of the care, the person can often choose who they use. That has already happened.
How we work
Every PA is DBS checked and holds the Care Certificate. They complete yearly refreshers in prescribed medicine and moving and handling. Extra training is used if a hoist or moving equipment is part of the day.
PAs can drive their own car or the client's car. Business motor cover, public liability and employers' liability insurance are in place.
Client notes and rotas sit in TagCare. That is the office system. It is not the website.
There is no price list here on purpose. A two hour visit in Prestbury is not the same as a week of hospital runs. The free visit comes first.
Where we work
Silverstar PA Care is based around Macclesfield and works in these towns. We are not stretching the map across the whole of Cheshire.
- Macclesfield : Tytherington to the north, Hurdsfield and Rainow to the east, Sutton and Langley to the south, Broken Cross and Upton to the west, plus Kerridge and Gawsworth.
- Prestbury : Longer visits. The same person. Diary, appointments, and getting out without looking like a care call.
- Alderley Edge : Quiet, consistent support at home, and a named PA who can sit in at appointments.
- Bollington : Companionship and practical help for people who want to keep their own house and routine.
- Poynton : Time-based support for an older household. Not a 30 minute slot. A PA who already knows the person.
- Wilmslow : Next to Alderley Edge. A visit in your own house, with a dedicated PA, when a care home has been the other option.
- Knutsford : Its own town, further west. Companionship and home help in the house you already live in, not a move.
More on each town is on Areas we serve.

Do you wear a uniform?
No. Not when going out. Clients should not look like they are out with their carer.
Can you help with medicine?
We do not supply medicine. We can help a person take medicine a doctor has already prescribed. We do not decide the dose and we do not provide clinical treatment.
Is there a charge for the first visit?
No. The home visit is free. Price follows the plan.
Are your PAs checked and trained?
Yes. DBS checked. Care Certificate. Yearly refreshers in prescribed medicine and moving and handling.
