Jacqueline Silvester
Founder, Silverstar PA Care
Jacqueline built Silverstar because she had seen care done the usual way, and she did not accept it.
The standard she brought home
She spent ten years with Emirates, working up to in-flight manager and trainer in Dubai. The work was exact. People were looked after properly, privately, and without being hurried. That standard is what she brought home.
Residential training
She later went into residential homes as a trainer. She judged how they were run and delivered the yearly training the law asks for, including safeguarding and medication. She still notices the small things. A well run home has a feel. A poorly run one does too.
Why she left the large model
When she worked for a large care company, the model was the problem. Half hour slots. A different face each week. No time to know the person. She left to do the work herself, on a smaller scale, and to keep it that way.
How Silverstar works
Silverstar is a personal assistant service, not an agency on a clock. The shortest visit is two hours. Clients keep the same PA, or a very small team who already know them. When they go out, there is no uniform. The point is to live a life, not to look like someone in care.
Who comes to her
That is why families in Macclesfield, Prestbury, Alderley Edge, Bollington, Poynton, Wilmslow, and Knutsford come to her. They want someone who can sit at a hospital appointment, keep a diary, get a person to lunch with old friends, or plan a holiday when a wheelchair is part of the day. They want the same person to notice if this week is not like last week.
What she offers
Jacqueline is not a nurse. She does not pretend to be. What she offers is judgement, consistency, and time.
The first visit is at home, and it is free. Price follows the plan, not a menu on a website.
All PAs are DBS checked and hold the Care Certificate, with yearly refreshers in prescribed medicine and moving and handling.
